Take a tour below of our services and conditions to learn just how we can help you achieve optimal health and wellness.
EMG's
Electromyography also referred to as EMG is a diagnostic test used to measure the health of a muscle's response or electrical activity in response to a nerve's stimulation of the muscle. EMG results are used to reveal nerve dysfunction, muscle dysfunction or abnormalities with nerve-to-muscle signal transmission. You may ask our physicians if this diagnostic test is appropriate for you and your condition. |
FCE's / PCA's
Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) or Physical Capacity Evaluation (PCA) are a set of tests, practices and observations by a clinician, they are combined to determine the ability of the patient's individual capacity to function in a variety of circumstances, most often for employment purposes, in an objective manner. This can also help evaluate a person's ability to maneuver instrumental activities of daily living. |
IR's
Impairment Ratings are completed by an independent clinician. An Impairment Rating gives a percentage number from 0-100% so the patient, employer and or insurance carrier can understand how much the patient has been injured and how it might affect their work. The results allow the patient to determine how long he or she might get benefits, how much compensation they might receive and whether or not they're expected to return to work. |
WORK CONDITIONING:
Is an intensive, work–related, goal-oriented conditioning program designed to specifically restore neuromuscular and musculoskeletal function including strength, power, endurance, joint mobility, range of motion, motor control, cardiovascular endurance and functional abilities. The primary objective in this program is to restore the patient's physical capacity and functional capabilities to enable their confidence in returning to work with a better understanding on how to prevent the same or new injuries. |
WORK HARDENING:
Is a multi-disciplinary intervention program that is highly structured, goal-oriented and personalized for you to return to work at your current job or prepare you to re-enter the workforce. During this time, you will learn to utilize real and simulated work activities designed to restore physical, neuromuscular, behavioral and vocational functions similar to those at work. Work hardening addresses the issues of productivity, safety, physical tolerances and worker behaviors. |
